There may be a little winter chill in the air, but don’t let that deter you. Emma Knights Productions has a winter-warming line up of unique, inspiring and fun events coming up.
I’ll begin with a personal favourite – CHOCOLATE FOR PIANO LOVERS
Emma Knights is combining two of her loves; music and chocolate in this concert series at Red Cacao in the Adelaide Hills on 20 July. Emma says, “Stirling is a lovely place with many memories and Red Cacao is a snug cafe filled with friends!”
Marcus Booth-Remmers, chocolatier and founder of Red Cacao (note from Ed: very delicious chocolate!), is creating a special dessert for the evening and Emma Knights will be performing some of her favourite sweet tunes as well as some new original music.
Chocolate for Piano Lovers brings together food for the soul and music for your tastebuds!
In keeping with the food theme, Emma’s extremely popular, SCONEFEST is back for its 5th time on 31 July. A musical jam with scones and cream! To celebrate Sconefest turning five, Emma is bringing the SA Country Women’s Association (Adelaide Branch) scones with Beerenberg jams and Alexandrina Pure Jersey Cream to Port Adelaide, along with some equally delicious local original music.
First serve of scones is included in the ticket, extra serves will be available for purchase. Dietary options are available with notice. This is one event to book quickly as it always sells out.
Emma also has her acclaimed PIANO WOMEN show coming up on 7 July. This is a brilliant and beautiful show. Emma criss-crosses four centuries’ worth of pianos, and the history-making women who play them. With meticulous research and an amazingly broad playlist, her mixture of curiosity and virtuoso musicianship is a winning combination. As she tells these women’s tales, sings their songs and plays their compositions, it’s as if you’re sitting in her snug, being entertained by this warmly theatrical musician.
Emma also has regular Tuesday morning shows at the Jade – A BRUNCH OF ORIGINAL SONGS
A Brunch of Songs is a morning concert series that was created by Emma Knights as a way to rebuild community during the pandemic. It has been running every second Tuesday since September 2021. Come enjoy some local original music during the Umbrella Festival! The community is diverse and ages range from babies to 100! Everyone is welcome. These mornings have a “Pay What You Can” set up to make them accessible to the community.
To book tickets and to find out more see Emma’s website. Sam About Town has seen her perform many times and so can highly recommend!
